How many Tap.It locations are listed in East Malaysia?
Tap.It’s own kiosk list of 15 Oct 2026 names 76 locations in East Malaysia: Sarawak 44, Sabah 29 and Labuan 3. 68 of them are on Tap.It’s list of locations with SSM services; 8 are on its all-locations list only.
These are listed locations, not a count of kiosks: Tap.It gives its whole network as more than 500 units throughout Malaysia. The 76 locations stand at 75 addresses: where listings share one address, as CD Sandakan and CD Sandakan 2 do, they appear as one entry.
Every location below keeps its name and address exactly as Tap.It lists it, grouped by state and by the town its address names, with a map search link. Opening hours are not listed, so check with the store, office or mall before you go.

Where can you use SSM services in East Malaysia?
Tap.It is Safeguards KioskMedia’s self-service kiosk network, and SSM’s Knowledge Hub says in its own words: “SSM has appointed Safeguards Kioskmedia (M) Sdn Bhd as business renewal agent via Kiosk Tap.It.” SSM also lists “Kiosk Tap.it at any SSM Office or selected stores” as a place to renew a business. Tap.It’s lists name no SSM office in East Malaysia: its 68 locations with SSM services are CelcomDigi (CD) stores, malls and other stores, most of them in Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and Miri.
At a Tap.It kiosk listed with SSM services, Safeguards KioskMedia offers business renewal, SSM compound payment and SSM4U activation. The fees, and which compounds are paid where, are on SSM services at Tap.It kiosks.

Can you activate an EzBiz account at a Tap.It kiosk?
Yes, SSM says so in its own words: “The activation of the Ezbiz Online user account can be carried out at SSM counters as well as at Kiosk Tap.It.” Activating (verifying) an SSM4U account at a Tap.It kiosk is what opens EzBiz Online and SSM’s other core services: SSM’s Renewal & Activation Platform page lists “Kiosk Tap.it Services” under “1. Ezbiz User Activation”, and its SSM4U manual says verified users get the core services, EzBiz among them. SSM’s requirements are that you are a Malaysian citizen or permanent resident aged 18 years and above, and “Activation only needs to be done once.”
How do you activate SSM4U at a Tap.It kiosk?
- Tap the screen
Tap the kiosk screen to begin and select the ‘SSM’ icon.
- Choose SSM4U Activation
Select “SSM4U Activation”.
- Card and thumbprint
Insert your MyKAD, MyPR, MyKAS or MyTentera card, scan your thumbprint, then remove the card.
- Confirm and finish
Press “Confirm” if the details shown are right, then “Done”, and log in to SSM4U with the email and password you registered.
Users with a Foreigner National ID activate their SSM4U account online instead.
How do you check a location before you go?
Opening hours are not listed. Every location marked with SSM services offers all three SSM services; to check how you can pay, WhatsApp the Tap.It hotline on 03-2935 9359 before you go.
