Which SSM services can you use at a Tap.It kiosk?
Every Tap.It kiosk listed with SSM services offers business renewal under ROB, SSM compound payment and SSM4U activation.
Each service is SSM's. SSM, the Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia), sets the business renewal fees; SSM's Registrar may, with the Public Prosecutor's written consent, offer to compound an offence (Companies Commission of Malaysia Act 2001, s.38A); and SSM4U is SSM's own website for its systems.
ROB is registration under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956, the register for businesses and enterprises; companies such as Sdn Bhd and Berhad come under Registration of Company (ROC).

Is a Tap.It kiosk an official SSM route?
Yes, for business renewal and SSM4U activation. For business renewal, SSM says on its SSM4U Knowledge Hub:
“SSM has appointed Safeguards Kioskmedia (M) Sdn Bhd as business renewal agent via Kiosk Tap.It.”

What do SSM services at a Tap.It kiosk cost?
Each fee at a Tap.It kiosk has a part set by SSM and Safeguards KioskMedia's own service fee: RM3 per renewal transaction, and RM3 on a compound payment. SSM's renewal fees and the RM3 kiosk fee are given separately, because a renewal's total depends on the kind of name, the number of branches and the number of years chosen.
Safeguards KioskMedia says compound payment at its kiosks is “subject to approved service terms”; to check a particular compound before you go, WhatsApp the Tap.It hotline on 03-2935 9359. SSM4U activation has no charge: Safeguards KioskMedia offers it as corporate social responsibility (CSR), so it costs neither the user nor SSM anything.

SAFEDATA-SSM documents are sold online at safedata-ssm.com, the portal Safeguards KioskMedia runs as the Technology and Service Provider appointed by SSM. It gives access to SSM's company and business records, sourced directly from SSM, from RM13.24 for a Company Profile; it does not rate companies or give advice. Where are Tap.It kiosks with SSM services?
On 15 Oct 2026, Tap.It's own location lists showed 438 locations, 429 of them listed with SSM services, in five regions. These are locations, not a count of kiosks: the Tap.It network has more than 500 units throughout Malaysia. Each region page names every location with its full address and marks the ones with SSM services.

SSM lists the Tap.It kiosk among its places to renew a business and to verify an SSM4U account, beside EzBiz Online, Bank Simpanan Nasional, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia and the SSM counter. SSM's own compound pages name EzBiz Online, CRS and its Compliance Division.

Where do you pay a company's compound?
On CRS, SSM's online Corporate Registry System. SSM's CRS FAQ says compounds under the Companies Act 2016 and 1965 on companies and directors are now fully managed through CRS, whose Phase 1 began on 14 July 2026, and “are no longer accepted over the counter, through the EzBiz portal or via e-mail”.
Is every Tap.It location listed with SSM services?
No. Of the 438 locations on Tap.It's own lists on 15 Oct 2026, 429 are listed with SSM services. The other 9 are Spring Villa in Ampang, in the Klang Valley, and 8 in East Malaysia (SESCO points in Kuching and Sibu, KJRI Kuching).
