How do you buy an SSM document online?

Sign up free on SAFEDATA-SSM, then four steps:

Is SAFEDATA-SSM an official SSM channel?

Yes. Safeguards KioskMedia (M) Sdn. Bhd. was appointed by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) as its Technology and Service Provider for the SAFEDATA-SSM Services, and the documents are sourced directly from SSM.

What documents can I buy on SAFEDATA-SSM?

Company and business profiles, documents and forms images, company and business certificates, company particulars, and company financial history and comparisons. The portal also covers audit firm documents, LLP documents, company listings, CSID (Company Secretary Information Data) and personal involvement.

How much does an SSM company profile cost?

A Company Profile is RM13.24, or RM23.24 as a certified true copy (CTC).

Is there a service fee on SAFEDATA-SSM?

Yes. The SAFEDATA-SSM FAQ explains that an additional RM3.00 service fee with 8% SST is charged for the Technology and Service Provider on top of the fees imposed by SSM.

What is the difference between CTC and non-CTC?

CTC stands for certified true copy. A CTC costs more only because SSM's own fee for the certified copy is higher: a Company Profile is RM13.24, or RM23.24 as a CTC.

What if the information in my document is wrong?

Call SAFEDATA-SSM customer service on 010-207 9384 or use the Contact Us form. You may need to provide documentary proof. The agent escalates the case to SSM, and once SSM updates it, customer service resupplies the amended document, which you can download within 7 days.

What is Tap.It?

Tap.It is a self-service kiosk network with more than 500 units throughout Malaysia, offered as Kiosk as a Service (KaaS) by Safeguards KioskMedia (M) Sdn. Bhd. The kiosks run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Can I get SSM services at a Tap.It kiosk?

Yes. Every Tap.It kiosk with SSM services lets you renew a business registration (ROB), pay an SSM compound and activate SSM4U. Safeguards KioskMedia offers these as an SSM Kiosk Agent. Company and business documents are bought online, on SAFEDATA-SSM, and are coming soon to Tap.It kiosks. The kiosks are listed on tapitnetworks.com/location-ssm.

Can I renew my SSM business registration at a Tap.It kiosk?

Yes. You pay SSM's fee, RM60 a year for a trade name or RM30 a year for a personal name, plus the kiosk's RM3 service fee per transaction.

Can I pay an SSM compound at a kiosk?

Tap.It kiosks with SSM services take SSM compound payments, subject to approved service terms: the compound amount plus a RM3 service fee. Compounds under the Companies Act are paid only through SSM's online CRS.

Is SSM4U activation at the kiosk free?

Yes. Activating SSM4U at the kiosk costs nothing, to you or to SSM.
