SSM's company certificates, Company Charges and the Attestation of Company Good Standing are bought online on SAFEDATA-SSM (safedata-ssm.com). The certificates and Company Charges cost RM23.24, or RM33.24 as a certified true copy; the attestation costs RM103.24. SSM issues the attestation only for a company that meets its criteria, among them at least 18 months since incorporation, status “existing” and its latest annual return and audited financial statements lodged.

Which SSM certificates and records can you buy on SAFEDATA-SSM?
For companies, SAFEDATA-SSM sells SSM's Certificates of Registration and Certificates of Change of Name / Conversion, together with Company Charges, the Particular of Change of Company Name and the Attestation of Company Good Standing.

SSM's Company Profile also lists a company's charges, as “charges (if any)”. All five documents on this page are company documents, on companies registered under ROC (companies such as Sdn Bhd and Berhad). For a business registered under ROB (Registration of Businesses), such as a sole proprietorship or partnership, start from its Business Profile, and ask SAFEDATA-SSM customer service about its certificate. How much does each document cost?
Each listed price is SSM's own fee plus RM3.24. A certificate's CTC costs RM10 more only because SSM's own fee for the certified copy is higher. Ask whoever asked you for a certificate whether they need a certified copy before you buy.

What is an Attestation of Company Good Standing?
The Attestation of Company Good Standing (ACGS) is issued by SSM about one company.
SSM's sample Attestation of Company Good Standing carries five details, and whoever receives an attestation can check it against SSM's stored copy:
- The company name
- Its registration number
- Its incorporation date
- Whether it is a private or a public company
- Its registered address
- The print-out
The attestation is computer generated; no signature is required.
- Scan the QR code
Whoever receives it scans the QR code on the print-out.
- View the stored copy
The stored copy of the attestation can be viewed, to check the print-out was not altered.
Which companies can get a good standing attestation?
SSM's criteria for an Attestation of Company Good Standing are:
- Incorporated at least 18 months ago
- Its latest Annual Return and Audited Financial Statements, or an Exempt Private Company certificate, lodged (a company's audited figures are in its Financial Comparison)
- Status “existing”: not being wound up, struck off or dissolved
- Not dormant
- A registered address
- No outstanding compound with SSM, for the company or its directors
- No pending prosecution case with SSM

How do you buy a certificate or the attestation?
Registration as a SAFEDATA-SSM user comes first. Once your user access is active you can buy at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a computer, laptop or phone, and the certificates, Company Charges and the particular are bought the same way as the attestation.

What if a certificate shows wrong information?
A certificate bought on SAFEDATA-SSM shows SSM's record of the company; if a detail in one is wrong, SAFEDATA-SSM's customer service takes the case. There is more in the guide what to do if an SSM document has wrong information.
