SSM lists Personal Involvement in Companies among the products obtainable from the portals of the service providers it appoints. SAFEDATA-SSM is run by Safeguards KioskMedia (M) Sdn. Bhd., appointed by SSM (the Companies Commission of Malaysia) as its Technology and Service Provider for the SAFEDATA-SSM Services, and its documents are sourced directly from SSM.

The person's MyKad number has to come from them or from a document you already hold: SSM's sample Particulars of Directors/Officers prints each director's IC or passport number. For a person who has no MyKad, ask SAFEDATA-SSM customer service before you buy.

How is Personal Involvement different from company particulars?

Personal Involvement answers a question about a person; company particulars answer one about a company, such as who its directors or shareholders are, and are searched by company name or registration number. SSM describes the Particulars of Directors/Officers as covering a company's current directors and officers and previous ones for the last 15 years, so a company's past board is found from the company side.

What do you do with what it finds?

You need two things before you start: a SAFEDATA-SSM account and the person's MyKad number. Once your user access is active you can buy at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a computer, laptop or phone. The search follows the portal's usual steps, with the MyKad number in place of a company name or registration number.

What if the result shows wrong information?
